On 10 December, 2019, Ambassador Xiao Jianguo met with Abílio José Caetano, Acting Minister of State Administration of Timor-Leste. The two sides exchanged views on establishing sister cities between Macau and Dili, attending the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macau) and promoting cooperation between Hunan Province and Manatuto District as friendship province/district in the future.
