At 7:00 a.m. on the morning of 23rd August, 2019, Embassies of China, Japan and Korea in Timor-Leste co-organized a Trilateral Cleanup at Praia dos Coqueiros in Dili. H.E. Dr. Xiao Jianguo, Ambassador of China, H.E. Mr. Hiroshi Minami, Ambassador of Japan and H.E. Mr. Lee Chin-Bum, Ambassador of Korea participated in the event together with staff members of three embassies, and some volunteers.

As a positive response to the call of the Timorese Government for reducing plastic waste and protecting marine environment, the participants collected plastic waste on the beach, appealing to the public to jointly promote a more clean, green and sustainable development of Timor-Leste .
